Close the Tracking Gap

A Free Tool Worth Running Before You Attend

Disclosure: Stape is the Day 1 sponsor at MeasureSummit May 2026. We use their platform independently and recommend it on that basis.

Stape builds and maintains the infrastructure a large portion of our community runs server-side Google Tag Manager on. They're official partners with Google, Meta, and TikTok, and they've contributed more templates to the GTM server gallery than any other organization.

Their free Website Tracking Checker is one of the more practically useful tools in the space right now.

You enter any publicly accessible URL and get back a tracking health score within about two minutes. The report covers four areas: analytics configuration, advertising attribution, cookie setup, and page speed impact from third-party tracking scripts.

Sites with what appears to be solid tracking frequently show meaningful gaps when you look at what's actually reaching ad platforms intact. We've run it on sites we considered well-configured and found things worth addressing.

A few practical details on how it works: it reads only what's publicly visible on the page. No login to your analytics or ads accounts required. It flags problems, assigns a score, and provides prioritized, step-by-step recommendations for fixing each issue.

Running it on your own site before MeasureSummit gives you a concrete baseline to bring to the conversation.
